Canon has unveiled the EOS R1 and EOS R5 Mark II, setting new standards for performance and creativity in professional photography and videography. These highly anticipated additions to the EOS R System are designed to elevate professional workflows with advanced features and intuitive user experiences powered by the new Accelerated Capture imaging platform and Deep Learning technologies.

EOS R1: The Ultimate Professional Tool

The EOS R1, Canon’s first camera in the EOS R range within the EOS-1 series, is engineered for elite sports and news photographers. It boasts a groundbreaking Cross Type AF system, a 24.2-megapixel resolution, and an astounding 40fps silent electronic shutter with AF tracking. The new DIGIC Accelerator processor, combined with the DIGIC X, enhances performance, autofocus, continuous shooting, and image quality.

EOS R5 Mark II: Versatility for Creative Professionals

The EOS R5 Mark II builds on the success of the EOS R5, offering a new back-illuminated, stacked sensor with 45 megapixels and an electronic shutter capable of 30fps. It features 8K 60p resolution and 12-bit RAW recording internally, along with advanced image upscaling to 180 megapixels and improved noise reduction.

Both cameras feature the latest Dual Pixel CMOS AF, high-speed image sensors, and pre-continuous shooting functions. They offer up to 8.5 stops of image stabilisation, enhanced image quality, and robust connectivity options, including Wi-Fi6E/11ax and 2.5Gbps Ethernet.
